Calvert Green Neighbourhood Plan - Have your say!

Calvert Green Parish Council are developing a Neighbourhood Plan. A Neighbourhood Plan is an important and powerful tool giving you a voice and a means to shape development and planning policies in your community.

At this link you can view the most recent version of the Calvert Green Neighbourhood Plan which was submitted to Buckinghamshire Council for independent examination in May 2026. The Plan establishes a village boundary or area covered by the Plan, a vision and objectives for the Plan, and includes a number of land use policies including a design code, recognition of the local green infrastructure, and protection for local green spaces. It is hoped that the Neighbourhood Plan will be available for parish referendum by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. They are able to choose where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built, have their say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided, and grant planning permission for the new buildings they want to see go ahead. Neighbourhood planning provides a powerful set of tools for local people to plan for the types of development to meet their community’s needs and where the ambition of the neighbourhood is aligned with the strategic needs and priorities of the wider local area

Calvert green submitted its neighbourhood plan to the Buckinghamshire County Council in 2020 for its designated area consultation.
